Summary
- Your history, bookmarks and passwords stay on your computer. We don’t collect them or sync them.
- The browser sends an essential record (a random installation ID, the version, the operating system and a periodic activity signal) that can’t be turned off.
- It also sends diagnostic data (errors, memory, number of tabs and which features you use). It’s on by default and you can turn it off at any time.
- We never send your history, bookmarks or passwords. What you ask the AI assistant (voice dictation included) is processed on Antlooks Cloud, unless you choose a local model.
- The browser also connects to other servers to update itself, download filter lists, tools and models, or search DuckDuckGo when the agent needs to. They are all listed in section 8.
- We don’t sell data.
1. Data controller
The data controllers are lizardbot SRL (Dominican Republic) and lizardbot Inc (United States), together “Lizardbot” (lizardbot.online), the software studio that develops Antlook. For any privacy question, write to team@lizardassets.com.
2. What we don’t collect
- Your browsing history, the pages you visit or what you search for (except what you send to the AI assistant yourself; see section 7).
- Your bookmarks, passwords, cookies or form data.
- Your name or email address (unless you give them to us, for example when you send us feedback). Antlook doesn’t require an account.
- How many identities or profiles you keep in the browser.
3. Essential record (always on)
It tells us how many installations there are and how many are still in use. It’s sent once when you install, when you open the browser, and then every 15 minutes while it’s open. It contains only:
- A random installation ID (UUID), generated on your computer. It isn’t derived from your hardware or your account.
- The Antlook version.
- The operating system and architecture (for example,
win32/x64). - The date and time it was sent.
This record can’t be turned off from the browser, and Settings → Privacy says so (“Essential record”).
4. Diagnostics and performance (you can turn it off)
It helps us catch crashes and memory problems. It’s on by default. To turn it off, go to Settings → Privacy → Diagnostics and performance; it stops being sent immediately. Each time you turn it on, a notice is sent with the installation ID, the version, the operating system, the architecture, the Windows version, the session time and the memory used by the browser. It also includes:
Browser status (every 5 minutes)
- The reason it was sent: the first one of the session (shortly after you open the browser) or the periodic one.
- The installation ID, the version, the operating system, the architecture and the Windows version.
- How long the session has been open.
- The memory used by the browser, the computer’s total and free memory and the number of CPU cores.
- Counts: tabs that are open, sleeping, playing video, loading, blocked or closed; active downloads; internal health events; whether split view or a panel is open. Numbers only, never page addresses or titles.
Errors
- The error message and the stack trace, with the folder paths on your computer removed (they could contain your Windows user name).
- The installation ID, the version, the operating system, the architecture and the session time.
- A cryptographic hash of the IP address (see section 5).
Feature usage
- The name of the internal feature used (for example, a tool), so we know what to improve. It doesn’t include what you did with it.
5. IP address
Like any server, ours sees the IP address each request comes from. Our API doesn’t store it as is: it stores a cryptographic hash (SHA-256 with a secret salt), which we use to limit abuse. That hash is stored with the essential record, browser status, errors and feedback; feature usage doesn’t include it.
Our hosting provider may technically log requests (including the IP address) under its own policy; we don’t use those logs to identify you.
6. Feedback you send us
If you send us feedback or a bug report from the browser, we receive the type (bug or suggestion), your message, a contact email if you choose to enter one, the installation ID, the version and the operating system, along with a cryptographic hash of the IP address (see section 5). It’s only sent when you ask for it to be.
7. AI assistant (Neural)
By default, the assistant uses Antlooks Cloud (api.antlooks.com, an Antlook domain), our own model service. When you use it, what’s needed to answer you is sent: your request and, if you ask it to work on a page, that page’s content or screenshots. Voice dictation is also processed on Antlooks Cloud. Each installation uses its own credential, stored in Windows’ protected storage.
We keep requests only for as long as they are needed to provide the service, and you can ask us to delete them at team@lizardassets.com.
If you’d rather nothing leave your computer, you can choose a local model (Ollama) in Settings and turn on strict local mode. Page translation uses local models whenever there’s one for that language; if there isn’t, it falls back to Antlooks Cloud. The assistant’s memory (what it remembers about pages you visited and how it solved tasks) is stored only on your computer, and you can delete it.
8. Other browser connections
- Updates: the browser checks
update.antlook.iofor new versions. - Ad blocker: downloads its filter lists from the servers of whoever publishes them, at most once a day.
- Extensions: when you install an extension, it’s downloaded from Google’s servers (Chrome Web Store).
- Local AI models: the first time you use a local AI feature (translation, summaries, grammar checking, background removal), the model may be downloaded from
huggingface.co. With strict local mode on, nothing that isn’t already on your computer gets downloaded. - Assistant searches: when the agent searches the web for you, it queries DuckDuckGo (
duckduckgo.com). - Video downloads and recording: the first time you use the video downloader or screen recording, Antlook downloads the yt-dlp and ffmpeg tools from
github.com. - Text recognition (OCR): the OCR capture tool downloads its engine and language data from
cdn.jsdelivr.net. - Antlook Farm game: looks up the weather for the city you enter on
open-meteo.com. - Offers: the browser has an offers section that may include affiliate links. If you open one, the third party may be able to tell you came from Antlook, and its own privacy policy will apply.
- Proxies: if you set up a proxy, your traffic goes through the server you choose.
9. Data that stays on your computer
- History and bookmarks: stored in Antlook’s data folder on your PC.
- Passwords and identities: in a local vault encrypted with Windows Data Protection (DPAPI), tied to your user account.
- Files encrypted with the encryptor: processed on your computer with AES-256-GCM; the key is derived from the password you choose, and we don’t know it.
You can delete this data from within the browser, or by uninstalling Antlook and deleting its data folder.
10. What we use the data for
- Essential record: to keep the service and updates running (knowing how many installations are active and which versions are in use).
- Diagnostics and performance: to find and fix errors and performance problems. We receive it because you have it turned on, and you can turn it off whenever you like.
- Feedback: to reply to you and improve the product. We receive it because you send it to us.
- Antlooks Cloud: to provide the assistant service you ask it for.
11. How long we keep data
- Browser status, sessions and feature usage: deleted after 60 days by a daily task.
- Aggregated daily statistics (number of new and active installations, average memory and session time): kept, but they contain no identifiers.
- Bug reports and feedback: deleted after 90 days.
- Installation record: deleted after 13 months without activity.
12. Where data is stored and who processes it
The servers may be outside your country; data travels encrypted (HTTPS). We don’t sell it or share it with third parties for advertising purposes.
13. Your rights
You can ask to access, correct or delete your data by writing to team@lizardassets.com. Under the law of your country, you may also have the right to object to or restrict its processing, and to lodge a complaint with the data protection authority in your country.
Since Antlook doesn’t use accounts, we don’t know who you are: the data the browser sends is only linked to a random installation ID, which isn’t currently shown in Settings. To help us find it, include in your message your Antlook version and the approximate date you installed or used it.
14. This website
antlook.io uses no cookies or analytics tools, and loads no third-party resources: fonts, icons and scripts are served from the site itself. The donation window generates the QR code in your browser and stores nothing in it. The web server’s technical logs are described in section 5.
15. Children
Antlook is not directed at minors without the supervision of their parents or guardians, and we don’t knowingly collect data from minors.
16. Changes
If we change what the browser collects, we’ll update this page and its date before releasing the version that includes the change.
